Review: Crazy. Stupid. Love [2011]

I finally watched Crazy. Stupid. Love. and it's such a nice movie. It is indeed crazy and stupid, but it also is funny and interesting. I kinda regret not watching it sooner or when it was first released.

The plot goes:
A middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a newfound friend, Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

The part where Ryan Gosling gives Steve Carrell a "makeover" and how he teaches him to pick-up girls was funny. He would ask them questions like "where to buy a Golden Eagle gold bullion?" or something. At first he fails each time but then once he learned how the game worked, he was taking home a different woman each night.

There are other people involved in the story and it didn't occur to me that their lives were intertwined somehow. I should have seen it but I didn't and when that scene where you find out how they are connected came up, I couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny!

I definitely recommend this movie. Also starring Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, and Kevin Bacon.
